Logitech MX Keys Review

I have been using the keyboard for almost a year now as my daily go-to device for work, occasional gaming and some blog writing and I’ll share my thoughts on what I like and dislike.

Design

The keyboard looks and feels premium, it’s not cheap. Bought it for £90 from Scan. Compared to previous keyboards that I’ve used, all made of cheap plastic, light and ugly, this feels better and looks cool with a minimal and very practical design.

The keys are bigger which took a while to get used to. If like me you got long and thin fingers it will take some time adjusting to the new feel of typing.

Really like the colours, it’s not boring/cheap black, but a mix of shades of grey that match well together and the illuminated keys look awesome in low light or a dark setting.

It’s heavy, because it’s wireless and needs room for battery space and it’s great. I use it for at least 8 hours every day and a full charge lasts 2 weeks which is impressive, no cables which makes a neat workspace table.

It’s a full-size keyboard meaning it has all function keys and a numpad which is helpful if you’re working a lot with numbers and excel.

Before I got the keyboard I was using primarily the laptop and it’s less stressful of a change compared to other keyboards I’ve tried when I had to use a PC over the laptop. So if you like the experience of typing on the laptop then Logitech MX Keys is a very good alternative to the same feel when you must use a PC.

For an extra £10, you can get the keyboard with the palm rest on Logitech online store which if bought separately is sold for £17 on Amazon.

Battery and charging

And it’s charging with a Type-C which is good news for most people who use the latest tech and can have a charger for multiple devices.

Typing experience

It takes some time getting used to if you’re switching from a laptop, it’s not very different. It’s more spaced out unlike the laptop where everything is smaller and closer together.

Conclusion

Definitely an upgrade if you’ve been using a cheap £20 keyboard so far, but if you’re into mechanical keyboards then you might not enjoy the radical change.

It’s one of those guitars that you can say “it plays itself”.

Once you start playing Cordoba C5 literally you can’t put it down, because of its beautiful tone, rich and clean sound, it’s a joy to play.

Paired with the right strings it’s just perfection. Initially it came with Savarez which i think were either normal or low tension strings, I remember it was so easy to play and it has this warm sound.

It’s a top-selling guitar for a reason and it’s perfect for people just getting into nylon-string guitars.

It could be a good upgrade even for intermediate guitarists, when you switch from a an entry level guitar which most players pick up before they start to get more serious, not knowing if they’ll like it with Cordoba you’re more likely to stick to your practice and enjoy the journey. With Cordoba C5 you notice how your playing improves without too much effort, that’s when you know the guitar is good.

Build – What’s it made of?

It’s lightweight meaning you’ll enjoy a comfortable play and lightweight instruments generally resonate and sound better than the heavy ones.

Its back is made from flame mahogany which is a particular cut of mahogany tree, the flame like figure is produced by cutting from where a branch meets the trunk. It is very expensive and often used in building high-quality furniture.
